topThe idea
Pick a Leader and a Base, and bring a 50-card deck. Each turn you put a card face down as a resource, then spend resources on units and events. Attack the other player's Base; take it from 30 to 0 and you win. Your Leader joins the fight as a unit once you have enough resources.
Your first game
The Two-Player Starter holds two complete decks with tokens and a rulebook. Resource a card, play a cheap unit, attack the Base. Ground and space arenas are the one new idea, and the box teaches it.
What to buy next
Boosters are good value here because every pack has a Leader or Base. Then singles for the deck you settle on.
